It was a tough couple of weeks leading up to the birth but definitely worth it. I developed high blood pressure at the beginning of June and the doctors were keeping a close eye on me to see if I had pre-eclampsia. I was worried that I wouldn't make it to Jeff and Christi's wedding, but I did. It was a hard weekend but I'm glad I got to be there. The wedding was beautiful and I couldn't ask for a better sister-in-law. When we returned from the wedding we went to the doctor for a blood pressure check and it was high. The doctor then sent me down to the hospital (for the third time). They kept me there for a while to monitor my blood pressure and Taylor's heart rate. After several hours the doctor sent me home with a 24 hour protein test to complete. I turned it in on Wednesday and went to the doctor on Thursday for another blood pressure check. Because my blood pressure was still high, they officially put me on bed rest. The next morning (Friday) the doctor's office called and let me know my protein test had come back positive and I needed to go back to the hospital. Once we got there Dr. Sober decided it was time to induce because I had developed pre-eclampsia. I was in labor for about 33 hours and wasn't progressing so on Sunday morning at about 2:30 Dr. Sober decided to go ahead and perform a c-section. A few minutes later we had a beautiful baby girl.
We are both doing great now. She is just perfect! My mom came and stayed with us for a couple of days to help with Taylor. The Huntsmans arrived a few days later to visit and stayed a week. We were worried that with everyone holding her all the time she might be spoiled and not want to lay in her crib, but she doesn't have a problem laying down without fussing.
Now that things have slowed down, I will be sure to update the blog more often! If you want to see video of our cute little Taylor, go to youtube.com and search for TaylorTotHuntsman. Lance is putting videos up as we make them.

My brother's graduate recital was today and I was very sad to have missed it...I hear he did a fantastic job. I am trying to keep myself rested up and not take too many trips so I can make it to his wedding. I'm actually almost finished with their wedding present, which is pretty amazing because normally I would be up til 4am the night before trying to get it done. I guess I shouldn't speak too soon because it's not quite finished yet...
Rusty is acclimating to his life on the floor and out of the nursery. He still thinks he's in trouble though and pouts a whole lot! Hopefully he won't be too upset when we bring home a tiny squalling baby.
Well...I am posting a 31 week picture...I'm not sure it's the best idea to publicize myself this large but here it is!
