She Said http://blog.lancehuntsman.com//blog2.php?tempskin=_atom b2evolution 2012-05-20T21:52:27Z Here Comes Trouble!!! Kristy http://blog.lancehuntsman.com//blog2.php/2009/07/22/here-comes-trouble 2009-07-22T13:10:26Z 2009-07-28T13:16:48Z Taylor learned how to roll over today. I say she learned how because she did it a couple of times by accident on Saturday. She really figured it out today and did it a bunch. This seems way to early to be developing such advanced motor skills...I don't want her mobile any faster than normal. She is more than welcome to take her time when it comes to those things. It doesn't look like she is going to though! I guess it does confirm our suspicions that she is actually a little tiny super hero in disguise as a baby:)

Father's Day (A little late) Kristy http://blog.lancehuntsman.com//blog2.php/2009/07/14/father-s-day-a-little-late 2009-07-14T20:59:55Z 2009-07-28T13:09:51Z Today we celebrated Father's Day. I know it's not on the traditional date to celebrate; however, we were having a big event that day:) I gave Lance a $30 gift card to Family Christian Bookstore in the hospital to pick out some books to read to Taylor. My original intention was to take him out to eat and then shopping that day. Well, as you can probably figure out, I was in no shape for shopping that day. So we decided that Taylor and I would take him out today. We went to eat at Smokey Bones and then to the store. Lance got a big book of bible stories to read at night before she goes to bed and some other little books. When we got home he read to her for the first time.

It's been a while Kristy http://blog.lancehuntsman.com//blog2.php/2009/07/11/it-s-been-a-while 2009-07-11T15:19:11Z 2009-07-11T15:19:11Z So, it has been a really long time since either of us has updated the blog. We now have a beautiful baby girl...Taylor Makenzie Huntsman was born on Father's day (June 21) at 2:45am and was 6lbs. 3oz. and 19 inches long.

It was a tough couple of weeks leading up to the birth but definitely worth it. I developed high blood pressure at the beginning of June and the doctors were keeping a close eye on me to see if I had pre-eclampsia. I was worried that I wouldn't make it to Jeff and Christi's wedding, but I did. It was a hard weekend but I'm glad I got to be there. The wedding was beautiful and I couldn't ask for a better sister-in-law. When we returned from the wedding we went to the doctor for a blood pressure check and it was high. The doctor then sent me down to the hospital (for the third time). They kept me there for a while to monitor my blood pressure and Taylor's heart rate. After several hours the doctor sent me home with a 24 hour protein test to complete. I turned it in on Wednesday and went to the doctor on Thursday for another blood pressure check. Because my blood pressure was still high, they officially put me on bed rest. The next morning (Friday) the doctor's office called and let me know my protein test had come back positive and I needed to go back to the hospital. Once we got there Dr. Sober decided it was time to induce because I had developed pre-eclampsia. I was in labor for about 33 hours and wasn't progressing so on Sunday morning at about 2:30 Dr. Sober decided to go ahead and perform a c-section. A few minutes later we had a beautiful baby girl.

We are both doing great now. She is just perfect! My mom came and stayed with us for a couple of days to help with Taylor. The Huntsmans arrived a few days later to visit and stayed a week. We were worried that with everyone holding her all the time she might be spoiled and not want to lay in her crib, but she doesn't have a problem laying down without fussing.

Now that things have slowed down, I will be sure to update the blog more often! If you want to see video of our cute little Taylor, go to youtube.com and search for TaylorTotHuntsman. Lance is putting videos up as we make them.

Nursery is done! Kristy http://blog.lancehuntsman.com//blog2.php/2009/04/30/nursery-is-done 2009-04-30T19:50:22Z 2009-04-30T19:50:22Z We've finally finished decorating the nursery. Lance did an amazing job painting the dinosaurs and the "Taylor" letters are from a friend of mine who sells wall letters.

31 Weeks:) Kristy http://blog.lancehuntsman.com//blog2.php/2009/04/25/31-weeks 2009-04-26T02:07:36Z 2009-04-26T02:07:36Z Okay, so 9 weeks left...that's doable right? My feet are swollen to the size of large hams, I have awful heartburn and apparently I snore now and could "put a sasquatch to shame." But for the most part I have had an ideal pregnancy so I can't complain. The nursery is all finished and ready for Taylor. We ordered letters from one of our friends to put on the wall...that will complete the exciting dinosaur mural. I'll post pictures of the nursery once we get that up. Lance did an amazing job on the dinosaurs, they are pretty awesome! My baby shower was a couple of weeks ago and was great. Taylor is going to be one well dressed baby girl:) We got a ton of cute clothes!

My brother's graduate recital was today and I was very sad to have missed it...I hear he did a fantastic job. I am trying to keep myself rested up and not take too many trips so I can make it to his wedding. I'm actually almost finished with their wedding present, which is pretty amazing because normally I would be up til 4am the night before trying to get it done. I guess I shouldn't speak too soon because it's not quite finished yet...

Rusty is acclimating to his life on the floor and out of the nursery. He still thinks he's in trouble though and pouts a whole lot! Hopefully he won't be too upset when we bring home a tiny squalling baby.

Well...I am posting a 31 week picture...I'm not sure it's the best idea to publicize myself this large but here it is!

Our Little Ballerina Kristy http://blog.lancehuntsman.com//blog2.php/2009/04/04/our-little-ballerina 2009-04-04T14:26:39Z 2009-04-04T14:26:39Z I haven't had time to sit and write for a while because we have been so busy. First of all, we're almost done with all the furniture moving and cleaning out the nursery, I'll post pics of the nursery once everything is all set up. Abby moved into our New Castle house on Thursday...we still have some roof issues to sort out but now it will be much easier since someone is there all the time to let us know what is going on. My shower is today and I am super excited:) The ladies are over at the church building now decorating but I have to wait 4 more hours to go over! But perhaps the most exciting part of the week was our 3D ultrasound. It was pretty amazing how detailed everything was. We saw her yawning and you could see her little tongue moving. She was being pretty stubborn for the first half...her leg was up over her head in front of her face and she was holding it there with one of her hands. Then she stuck both her legs up over her head right before she crossed both of her legs and stuck them in her mouth and started to chew vigorously. The ultrasound tech just laughed at how flexible she was and said we'd better be prepared for a soccer player or a ballerina. Either one would be fine, but I kind of hope for the ballerina because I don't know anything about soccer:) I'm posting some pics from the ultrasound below, the first is her sticking both her feet in her mouth (I just think it's funny) and the second is one of her little face. She's a little over 2 pounds and about 15 inches long now just to give you an idea of the scale of these pictures. I'm so glad that my student's spring break is next week...I'm going to need a week to recoperate!

We're pretty much insane Kristy http://blog.lancehuntsman.com//blog2.php/2009/03/20/we-re-pretty-much-insane 2009-03-20T15:38:58Z 2009-03-20T15:38:58Z We have decided while the house is already in upheaval because of moving everything out of the nursery to do something a little crazy. We are going to switch the office room with the bedroom because we think the bedroom furniture will fit better in the other room. Which means we have to take everything out of the rooms and take some of the furniture apart and do all kinds of crazy stuff. Lance will be moving his computer back upstairs and we will be sharing an office. This might not sound like much of an undertaking...but trust me...it is! It will make life much easier once it is finished I think and we do need to get it done while we have an empty room to help shuffle stuff around, but I am not looking forward to the actual doing of it all. We already have a crib in our entryway downstairs and mom is bringing our dresser on Monday, which will probably have to go in the middle of the living room floor...so for the next few weeks our house is going to be in severe disarray! I'll keep you posted on how it goes:)
