Taylor learned how to roll over today. I say she learned how because she did it a couple of times by accident on Saturday. She really figured it out today and did it a bunch. This seems way to early to be developing such advanced motor skills...I don't want her mobile any faster than normal. She is more than welcome to take her time when it comes to those things. It doesn't look like she is going to though! I guess it does confirm our suspicions that she is actually a little tiny super hero in disguise as a baby

Today we celebrated Father's Day. I know it's not on the traditional date to celebrate; however, we were having a big event that day
I gave Lance a $30 gift card to Family Christian Bookstore in the hospital to pick out some books to read to Taylor. My original intention was to take him out to eat and then shopping that day. Well, as you can probably figure out, I was in no shape for shopping that day. So we decided that Taylor and I would take him out today. We went to eat at Smokey Bones and then to the store. Lance got a big book of bible stories to read at night before she goes to bed and some other little books. When we got home he read to her for the first time.

So, it has been a really long time since either of us has updated the blog. We now have a beautiful baby girl...Taylor Makenzie Huntsman was born on Father's day (June 21) at 2:45am and was 6lbs. 3oz. and 19 inches long.
It was a tough couple of weeks leading up to the birth but definitely worth it. I developed high blood pressure at the beginning of June and the doctors were keeping a close eye on me to see if I had pre-eclampsia. I was worried that I wouldn't make it to Jeff and Christi's wedding, but I did. It was a hard weekend but I'm glad I got to be there. The wedding was beautiful and I couldn't ask for a better sister-in-law. When we returned from the wedding we went to the doctor for a blood pressure check and it was high. The doctor then sent me down to the hospital (for the third time). They kept me there for a while to monitor my blood pressure and Taylor's heart rate. After several hours the doctor sent me home with a 24 hour protein test to complete. I turned it in on Wednesday and went to the doctor on Thursday for another blood pressure check. Because my blood pressure was still high, they officially put me on bed rest. The next morning (Friday) the doctor's office called and let me know my protein test had come back positive and I needed to go back to the hospital. Once we got there Dr. Sober decided it was time to induce because I had developed pre-eclampsia. I was in labor for about 33 hours and wasn't progressing so on Sunday morning at about 2:30 Dr. Sober decided to go ahead and perform a c-section. A few minutes later we had a beautiful baby girl.
We are both doing great now. She is just perfect! My mom came and stayed with us for a couple of days to help with Taylor. The Huntsmans arrived a few days later to visit and stayed a week. We were worried that with everyone holding her all the time she might be spoiled and not want to lay in her crib, but she doesn't have a problem laying down without fussing.
Now that things have slowed down, I will be sure to update the blog more often! If you want to see video of our cute little Taylor, go to youtube.com and search for TaylorTotHuntsman. Lance is putting videos up as we make them.

We've finally finished decorating the nursery. Lance did an amazing job painting the dinosaurs and the "Taylor" letters are from a friend of mine who sells wall letters.

My husband put a new ring tone on his phone for when I called...I just thought I'd share...
